Feng got me a Digital Cam!

A Sony Cyber Shot de... 6 mega pixels..

YEY! happie ger!!

Thankz Laogong!

And thus, the pink pandora box might contain more pics from now on..

If only I know how to use photoshop..

Both for my own good and yours..

I'll start with what we did today..

It's filled with food~~

P/S: Do bear with me for the messy arrays of picz..

Here it goes..

1st stop: We had Katong Laksa! The original one, mind you! There are 2 stalls actually, but we always frequent the "49 Katong Laksa" one. The small small bowl costs $3.00 each..abit "bo hwa" leh..but, considering the "Lao Zi Hao", chin chai la.. Love the hum and short-short bee hoon that's so eater-friendly!
Feng couldn't resist the yummy smelling katong otahs that's selling at the store, and so, we ordered 2! Not too bad, the meat is quite chunky, but, a little more chilli would be perfect!
That place is quite crowded..I saw couples, group of noisy friends, an African guy, and a funny looking chihuahua..

2nd stop: We strolled to Parkway Parade. That place is CRAZY!!! Especially during weekends..crowded with shoppers, screaming kids, big families, prams, trolleys...
After shopping for awhile, we decided that enough is enough..We'll have to get out of that place!

3rd stop: East Coast Beach. This time, crowded with picnickers and BBQ-ers. "Wow! How fun! Go ahead and enjoy! Wait till its time to pack up..Clearing up would be a bitch!" This is what Feng said jokingly.. Sarcastic, harmless things he said that tickles me non-stop.. I laugh easily, remember? Especially if it's things that he said...:)

4th stop: A ulu outdoor Hans with nice ambience.. While sitting at those wooden tables with a huge umbrella on top, surrounded by greeneries, it gives us a relaxing and calming feel. It's rather quiet as well. i ordered a warm lemon tea, and we proceeded to doodle around with the camera. By the way, did I mention that our camera has a name? I named it " 小白". Feng named it "豆腐". Thus, it can be referred to as " 小白 豆腐" ! With it, I caught him smoking on camera! This guy just can't stop polluting the air! He mentioned about going to Fish & Co for dinner. I turned him down straight. The marine parade food (MPFC) center has a greater variety of yummy food! Apollo char-kway-teow, Hong Hai chicken rice, Katong fried oysters, 5 stars nasi lemak...etc.. and thus...

5th stop: MPFC! We had the ultra salty, sesame oil- flavoured chicken rice for dinner! Plus, a plate of Katong Fried Oysters! Those fried eggs with rice~~~mmmm.. But, its just not enough for Feng.. He has to go order another plate of nasi lemak..
I must admit its damn wonderful!! Especially the fried chicken..better than Holland V de!
We had a full and oily and yummylicious dinner! Better than Fish & Co!

6th stop: Don's-Your Personal Pie Club! As if dinner's not sinful enough....
They are quite well known for their chicken pies. But we are craving something sweeet..
Thus, Chocolate fudge cake! With good old coffee which is sooo bitter for mi but just nice for him...
After admiring my newest stash from Dorothy Perkins and enjoyin the rich cake, and playin with tofu, we decided its time to go back to our home sweet home!

Feng took 1 last pic of mi..in full! Did I put on weight already? Not yet! Till I went home to eat a packet of spicy kimchi instant noodles..Whao! I can eat!!

And now, it's photo time.. Do try to link what I've said above with the messy picz k?

VODKA -- The one drink that is so special to me.. The first liquor that I tried when I was still that gullible young girl years ago.. The first liquor that made me so tipsy, yet, so high.. The first liquor that I requested for Feng to buy the whole bottle home for me...
I guess it must be due to those memories of my teenage years, that made me feel so attached to vodka, since it's almost the only liquor that my girlfriend and I drink..
Thus, for many years, its vodka sprite, vodka blue, vodka ribena, vodka silver, grain vodka...etc...before switching to vodka shots..

After meeting Feng, I kind of switched to beer.. Tiger. Always felt that carlsberg is the nicer one, but he converted me. There was once we went drinking with 2 of his friends at bedok..I remembered drinking quite alot, after eating a heavy dinner of Fish & Chips... On the train towards home to redhill, I was trying SO goddamn hard not to puke.. Once we reached my stop, down the escalator and out of the control station, I turned right, and immediately puke into some bushes..

All I can recall is Feng patting my back, and handing me a continuous stream of tissues in the dark dark night...
After that night, we had even more drinking sessions, with our little game that consists of a 50 cents coin, tissue paper and a cigarette.. The loser will have to down a tall glass of beer with the coin and cigarette ash in it.. Feng is unfair. He always ask me not to drink the beer with all the junk in it, if I were to lose..But.I.insist, and, became a much much better beer-drinker..Finishing a large bottle within __ minutes. ( Forget le. Got to ask Feng)

However, drinking depends on the occasion.

When we are at Cosy Bay, overlooking the sea and enjoying the breeze, I would prefer a cocktail..I remembered having a Lime magarita, and Feng, a vodka orange.

When we are at Intercontinental for some late-night drinks, we would either order some liquor-coffee, house specials or red wine..and enjoy the cosy ambience..

When we are preparing for some little weekend-getaways, I would be tempted to bring along my limited edition Bordeaux Superieur (Hello Kitty Classic Wine) with 2 wine glass..but, we'll end up not drinking it, since I've already kept it for years..

Just now, I had tequila with some vodka..and suffered the pain in my kidney again..Feng had to pour me warm water to try to soothe the pain..how I envy him, can enjoy his drinks without these consequences..

Well, I can say that we are frequent drinkers, but, I'm no longer a heavy drinker, considering my problem..Feng can enjoy my drinks for me!

Liquors, spirits, wines and beers are special in a way..They tastes different everytime I drink them..
When I'm in high spirits, they tastes somehow bitter n dry.. When I'm in an extremly bad mood, they tastes so smooth and soothing to me..like pure spring water to a thirsty traveller..

I'll end this entry with vodkas... It is said that vodka is actually similar to the contents used in nail polish removers..sounds rather yucky to me..However, the memories attached to it is far more precious to me..Vodka is like a "bridge", linking me back to the past..and thus, I'll savour every drop of it, enjoying the heat that runs down my throat....

Vodka...

Probably, the best liquor in my world..

Girls!

Amidst the glaring sun, polluted environment and our hectic lifestyles, don't ever neglect your well beings! That is, always find time to pamper yourself, even for a day!

How about this? Choose a day, preferably on a weekend, to be your indulgence day! Put all the stress and problems behind, and try to sleep in, catching up on your beauty sleep..When you decide that you have sufficient rest already, light up some scented candles around while listening to soft, soothing music..

After a light breakfast / lunch, comb in a leave-in treatment mask on your hair, as well as a yummy smelling hydrating facial mask...relaxed while the goodness of those mask nourish your hair and skin.. In the meantime, pick up that novel/magazine that you have always wanted to finish, but, couldnt find the time to...

After that, go have a nice long bath, using a sponge with a luxurious bathing cream/gel... I recommend products from Marks & Spencers as well as The Body Shop. Don't forget the scrub, or, body polisher! Use it on places that you might neglect, such as the knees or elbows..It'll make your skin so silky like tofu! Some people termed this as "Bei Bei Goot Goot" in hokkien, which means procelain smooth skin..

Slap on some rich body butter all over, together with a leave in conditioner for that extra sheen on your hair! Make yourself a nice cup of flora tea, and settle down for a d.i.y. manicure cum pedicure session..

Then, fish that sexy dress out of your wardrobe and go on styling your hair lightly and applying that lippie that make your lips look ultra kissable! A few spritz of your perfume, and you're ready to go!

Ask a friend for a ride, or dial for the mercedez or skoda cab, and head down to chill out at some lounges, or have a romantic dinner with your significant half..

Perfectly relaxed, perfectly happy and perfectly groomed, it's darn hard for people not to feel attracted to you.. You might not be as pretty as some supermodels or celebrities, but the fact that you care and love yourself exudes an irresistable aura that is far more sexy than anyone of them...

You might not have time to do this on a frequent basis, but, do try to find time for yourselves once in awhile, its definitely a great way to unwind!

I finally tried fondues. I am always toying with the idea of trying it, but, didn't, coz the sight of fruits put me off big time. I hate fruits!
However, Feng suggested that we try it on our 38th month anniversary..It sounded great, after strolling by the beach. Thus, we went to the Haagen Daz at Tembling Center for our 1st fondue experience.

The serving of the fondue is large! I thought it could easily feed 3 adults! As usual, the fondue comes with fruits---crunchy green apples, sliced bananas and sweet strawberris. It also comes with waffles, chocolate chip cookies as well as chocolate love letters. The special part is the 12 mini balls of ice cream that are served. 4 flavours---tiramisu, strawberri, macadamia, and vanilla if im not wrong. When the ice cream ball is dipped in the sauce, the sauce coagulate immediately, so that it forms a chocolate crust. There is also a small dish of chopped nuts to sprinkle on the warm chocolate sauce. I have to say that the consistency of the chocolate sauce is perfect. It does not drip, wrapping around the fruits in an intact manner. It felt extreamly loving to have a fondue with your love one. As for me, every mouthful is heavenly, though i am extra careful when feeding Feng. The sharp skewer is abit scary. The bill turn out to be $43, but its definitely money well spent.

Last sunday, Feng suggested we have fondue again. This time, we went to Max Brenner. The fondue comes with 3 sauces---Dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. As for the ingredients, it consists of marshmallows, banana bread, strawberris and bananas. Feng loves the dark chocolate, which i don't. Dark chocolate is bitter! I prefer the white chocolate sauce, coz it tasted like milk powder. The milk chocolate dip gives out a sweet and milky aroma that makes me feel extra cosy, apart from the dim ambience. While eating, Feng and I decided that the bananas goes well with the white chocolate, marshmallows and bread with milk chocolate and strawberris with dark chocolate. The fondue looks like an aroma theraphy holder, with candles burning beneath the dish. After finishing the ingredients, we asked for a teaspoon to finish off the last drop of sauce. Ultra sinful!

Thus, in one week, we had two fondues. Im glad that i ate more fruits due to the fondue. Guess this is one perfect reason for me to give in to my weekly fondue treats!

I'm looking forward to having cheese fondues next. I have always preferred savoury to sweet. I'll choose butter popcorns to honey ones, chicken pies to cream pies..The thought of dipping seafood into the cheese sauce makes me drool..My only problem is that i can't find a valid reason to enjoy the cheese fondues, since they are high in cholestrol and calories..

Anyone care to help by offering me some valid reasons for my indulgence?
