As i'm working at dhoby ghaut,
and it's always about 9 when i knocked off,
the best choice for dinner would be at Cartel!
Poor Feng have to eat his dinner at 9pm to accomodate for my irreguar
working hours...
Thus, we went there at around the same time for 2 days straight!
The servers are almost the same people..
Quite paiseh oso..
On day 1, we ordered the usual, usual stuff
that we ALWAYS order...
like the Amy's cake infront of mi..

Now, Day 2!
We ordered something different!!
This is real tasty k!
Teriyaki chicken with rice!
The sauce plus the rice..heaven!
especially when it's already late, and I just knock off from work, hungri!
It's in the "recommended list" too!

I look like I'm happy right..
But I'm there cursing and swearing at this damn f**king rude
fat bitch that called me today at work!
This dumb bitch who wants to slim down in 5 days, yes, 5 days
is unhappy with another consultant, and freaking flare up at mi!
And i had to talk to "it" nicely, and courteously plus politely,
and apologetically for a goddamn 37 mins over the phone!
This animal coerced me into telling her my director's name!
(How is that possible, bitch?)
I told Feng, if im not talking to her as a staff, given my attitude,
I'll make sure I'll screw the shit out of her
and give her a slap as her bonus!
She should spend that 37min running on a treadmill!
Which girl would be so lazy like her to want to slim down only 5 days b4 a so-called
"impt occasion"
and get so frustrated after that, knowing it's mission impossible??

Even Feng is damn du lan of her as well!
First, she flared up at mi for absolutely nothing, and also,
such stupid and lazy ppl actually exists!
Pay ppl money and she wanna slim down in days??!!
She might as well give me a knife and I'll shed some meat off her!

Here's a sweet ending to the meal, plus the stressful and hectic day!!
This is caramel chocolate mousee cake!
Soft and fluffy and deliciously sweet and smooth!!!

Come to think of it..
After one whole day of sales target and difficult customers,
I can always look forward to dinner, to Feng, to my comfortable bed,
and I have good colleages, and appreciative customers as well!

anyway, I've informed my colleage I've gotta knock off

This cold starter is actually seaweed with braised meat..
Its lightly marinated and very refreshing!
It goes rather well with the warm japanese green tea..

Feng's set comes with a choice of either cold or hot soba..
of coz he'll choose the hot one!
It also comes with Fried kara-age, mixed tempura,
salmon sashimi, chirashi on rice, and chawanmushi.
(By the way, he only eats chawanmushi from Kuriya)

As for mine, it comes with Unagi, mixed tempura,
all sorts of sushi, chawanmushi, and soup!
Those sushi are real filling!!

But Feng is not gonna be full at all!!!

He doesnt eat raw stuff, and half of his set comprises of sashimi!!
Even most of my set is sashimi too!!

We also ordered bacon and leek with cheese..
Damn nice!
The very flavourful meat, plus the crunchy leeks,
with the cheese oozing out and the yummy sauce!

The meal is a great celebration!!
with great company, great food, ambience and service!!

Their dessert never changes!
Its always vanilla ice cream with watermelon balls!!!
Nevertheless, it tastes yummie too!

My fave brand for acessories is mostly from guess,

I saw it last time, but dunno if i should get it..
afraid its due to my impulsive buying habits!
But, everytime i walked into Guess, it's always this bag that caught my attention!

Thus, we look at the gift way past their closing time!!
Long after their rounds of asking for "last orders"!!
We were the only customers in the whole restaurant, for quite a long time!
They didnt even shove us away!
Their service is really top-notch!
I remembered saying the same thing the last time we went there!
Thus, Feng and I thank them upon leaving,
and apologise to them for the wait..
They were still ultra friendly and gave mega-watt smiles!
A wonderful and sumptious dinner, with gifts that we both like,
we had a great 4th year anniversary!!!

I know i dun look exactly like a chef... :(
But i'm a good laopo!!! :)
Coz I cook for my laogong!!
Not instant noodles or convenient pastas...
But....Teriyaki chicken...
flavourful ones!!
Attempted to garnish them with chilli bits...

Spicy sambal brinjals!!!
I choose the brinjals, wash and cut them,
fry them with sambal paste and garlic...
enduring the choking chilli while cooking!!

Pork Croquettes!!
I mashed the potatos, mince the meat,
mix them together, marinate them,
shape them, and pan fry them in hot oil!!!

Also, such a good wife like me will confirm have to prepare soup,
here, its fish maw soup!
Plus, cook a big pot of rice thats not too hard or soggy...
must be nice and fragrant!!

Also, be prepared to fry the rice the next day when its not finished...
Hard work, but its all worth it!!
When he comes home to have a warm, piping home cooked meal...

For a change,
we went to sketches instead of cartel...For a change,
Had my hair curled instead of straight...
wore a pastel colour instead of black..

For a change..
had a warm chocolate instead of warm milk..
Had a tiramisu instead of Aunt Amy's cake..

But Feng still gotta have his single espresso,
Neat.

Which is always yucky to me...
Its real bitter to the core...

For 2 days straight,
we woke up extra early just to have breakfast with each other!!
It's been ages since I wake up for breakfast...
other than those FREE breakfast provided in hotels lah..
I'd rather sleep than have food,
when I'm a night person...Feng's scrambled egg and sausages with toasts..
i dun eat strawberri stuffs,
but this strawberri jam from Coffee Bean is real delicious!!
Especially with butter..

Mine's scrambled egg with smoked salmon!
The salmon is real flavourful..
soft and salty..
just the right combination with the fluffy eggs...

Even the salad is worth mentioning!
It's filled with fresh cranberries!!
Sweet and crunchy!!

Feng's coffee smells great,
but it's too bitter for me!!
As for my tea, its nice,
except that i have a little phobia for cammomile tea...
and this tea tastes abit like commomile...
Overall, it gets us ready to face the day..
me, at work, and him, for his studies..!

And, in between kisses, and the fresh morning air,
I really do enjoy the breakfast with Feng!

We went to M.S. today..
Not for clubbing purposes..
but for Bak Kut Teh..
A famous one ok...
with newspaper cutting and all..Can't wait for my supper to arrive!

Actually, its not as fattening as it looks...
the meat is damn shiok, and not saltish at all..!!

It really lives up to its name..
Peppery and hot soup in a claypot..

But he still looks abit fierce leh..
Even my colleage says so...

But its real satisfying slurping down the hot soup with rice...

Though we've almost finished the food...
the claypot still looks full!
Coz the auntie kept refilling the soup for us!

It closes at 4, or even 5 am during weekends...
so now we'll have an extra place to go for supper!
Especially during cold nights..
drinking the hot soup...
then going home to sleep under a warm comforter....
What could be more comforting than that?

He, is the spokesperson of Genki SushiShe, is the spokeswoman of Genki Sushi

However, they were kept waiting for the food..

But the Genki faces kept them distracted for a while..
and the green tea powder as well...
Coz the spokeswoman is crazy with all kinds of tea..
and anything japanese..

She can finish a big bowl of rice,
with nothing but sashimi..

This hot plate of Ebi tempura is a bonus

The spokesman is able to determine how good a restaurant is,
merely by tasting their katsu don,
which he luvs..

and the poor product knowledge of a so-called manager..

It doesnt matter, coz she's worse off than a normal server...

Overall, it's worth going back there again!
