While walking around wheelock place with SHAN a while back, we decided to go to the model car shop in wheelock place. Upon entering the shop, i approached the staff and requested to see the model that ive reserved earlier.

The model that ive reserved is the one that is pictured above. Its the NISMO R32 GT-R. Its manufactured by AutoArt in the 1:18 scale in Gun Grey Metallic. Upon seeing the model, its simply great looking. However, after giving it a thorough check, i realised that there were a few flaws, it is after looking through 4 different models did i chance upon the perfect one. No faults with the mirrors, decals, no loose wing or doors.

The NISMO R32 GT-R has thus been added to my collection.
Everytime we walked by this chinese restaurant at marina square during dinner time, we will see a very very long queue outside.. Both Feng and I were curious why this always happens.. Since it was still so early after my presentation that day, we decided to go there for lunch!Just look at this menu! Its interesting to look thru it!
Matching chopsticks and serviettes cover..
And the interior of the restaurant..
What a huge contrast to the view outside!
While waiting for our orders to arrive, Feng and I talked to each other as if we were swordsman and swordswoman..it doesn't take much to amuse ourselves big time!
We'll of coz have chinese tea in chinese restaurant rite? A pot of Iron buddha!
Here comes the duck, roasted with 10 wonders herb! The skin is still crispy, very fragrant, and the sauce tastes like "kong ba"sauce.. Great when you mix the sauce with rice!
Fish Maw thick soup with seafood. Generous servings of fish maws and chicken! Reminds me of the times I used to make campbell fish maw soup for Feng with our instant noodles..
Sweet bean celery with cuttle fish. The cuttle fish is one of the best that I've tasted! I don't normally eat celerys, but, because of the irresistable sauce, I almost finish the whole plate of greens! Mix the sauce with the rice too!
This is the BEST. Mongolian spare ribs. The ribs are deep fried first so they become ultra crispy. Then the thick thick sauce is stirred fried with the ribs. The sauce is......indescribable!
This is a MUST TRY!!!
Our table filled with food. By the way, they refer their rice as superior fragrant rice.. What's so superior about it?
Dessert time!
Double boiled Hashima with ginseng and red dates! Good for the complexion!
Its an impromptu decision to have such a "chinese"lunch, but, it's a nice change!

The crews there are really ultra polite.. Most of them are from China..this adds an even more "swordsman-era" feel to the ambience.. hehe.. As for the rating, think Feng would agree to me giving them 4.5 stars out of 5. The complaint? Not enough!! Or rather, I'll never have enough of such delicious food..
Now we know.. the secret behind those looonnnggg looonnnggg queues....
We had Pepper lunch for dinner last week.. Always wanted to try this out.. It's the most popular fast food chain in japan, or so they claimed...Laogong is grinning..Probably from his newest purchase-- Nismo GTR32.. The newest to add to his vast collection of die cast model cars..
And thus, I'm happy too!

Here comes Feng's order! Double chicken steak set on a sizzling hotplate. It can keep food at 80 degree celcius for a whooping 20 minutes!

My order--Salmon pepper rice! As you can see, the salmons are still quite raw.. It's time to cook now!!

First, pour in the house sauce of pepper lunch!
It comes in 2 special flavours... both unique in its own way..

Then, MIX!! MIX!! MIX!! There is butter hidden in the rice too. So, make sure every grain of rice is coated with butter, honey brown sauce and garlic soya sauce!
Dun forget to keep turning the meat, in case they get burnt!!
As for the chicken steak, just let it sizzle with the sauce! Alternatively, put the meat above the veg to avoid over cooking!
There it is! Done! It looks abit like fried rice, doesn't it? It tastes just right! Guess I have a natural flair in pouring sauces!!
After the hot hot meal, Im soo full I have no room for their desserts--
"Kuromitsu soft ice cream"

So full I just dun wana stand up!
Finally, Feng, mi and the nismo GTR32 is ready to go home! To become couch potatos, what else?

This is a relatively fresh experience for us.. Its fun to be able to mix the sauces and stir the meat into the rice! The menu comes with shake shake salad too--Sesame chicken and spicy tuna flavours.. Although Pepper meal is considered a fast food restaurant, the bill comes up to $25 for two.. But, considering the great service and unique way of preparing your own food, it's worth it!

Where shall we eat? Want something cheap and nice?

Just look at us grin..

Is it western food? NO! But I'll warn you bout the fried spinach bun first! Ewww...

It's buffet steamboat! Where else but marina south?

There we are! We got to choose our seats coz we're early!
Upon payment, we receive seafood-redemption tickets, a big butter ball, utensils..
And the right to the huge arrays of food!
Posted by PicasaAs well as weird looking shells!

It's still relatively early..so there arent much crowd..Which is good
After much splattering, our 1st plate of meat! Bacon, Wings, sze chuan chicken...

I helped Laogong cook too!

So he can eat instead of cooking for mi!

The live prawns--still half jumping!

Before they had their final jump on the BBQ together with the mussels

There's a live crab too--With a detached pincer! Ouch!

After much painful struggling, it changed into a bright orange dress! Yummie!

Not long before we gobble them up! lotsa cholesterol filled roes!

Not a pretty sight!

But we enjoyed ourselves!

Shiok! A damn full dinner cum supper..

Before laogong gotta piggy-back a fat mi home!!!

I am pretty convinced that Feng is hooked on it! He will mention "Chin Huat" everytime we think of where to eat! It is located next to the arcade at marina south. It's rumoured that it stole lotsa biz away from another steamboat buffet that has been there for a long time. No doubt the variety is huge, but Feng's friend encountered some bad service from them before. He added that if we were to reserve a table at the other stall, they'll give out complimentary champagne!

Just one last thing before you go there! Bring a 1.5 litre of bottled drink with you! You'll get soo thirsty, you'll find that the canned drinks they sold there is damn insufficient and "bo hua"!
