First of all,
I wanna congratulate Feng on a semester well done!
To celebrate Feng's great results,
we went out for dinner at say cheezecake!
It's a week night, and I'm feeling so lazy..
Don't feel like going to town...
And thus, boring Great World City,
with a nice cosy cafe seemed a super place to be at!We went to the salad bar,
and this kid really pissed me off..
She stood in the middle of the mini salad bar for the longest time,
with her big plate infront of her,
and attempted to fill up her plate SLOWLY with a slice of lettuce,
one small olive, a drop of dressing, one macoroni, and another olive....
in a damn slowwwwww motion.
You geddit?
Now,
Don't you go getting this rosy picture
of a cute kid doing innocent things for herself!
She IS aware of people trying to manoeuver
around her,
but WILLFULLY insist on doing things that pleases herself!
I'll give her a good lashing if she's my girl!
Anyway, she doesn't come close to spoiling our evening!
Here's mushroom cappucino!
Thick mushroom soup with a foamy layer of milk on top,
complete with cocoa powder..
What a weird combi,
but it turns out to be light and smooth, as Feng puts it..
Tomato soup with a generous dashing of grated cheese..
I still prefer the tomato basil soup from Soup Spoon!
I'm their loyal fan ok..especially after a spa session...
when I'm craving for something light and warm..
I dunno why I'm so 'tomato-ish' lately..
Have switched from eating cream-based to tomato-based pasta lately...
Well, just as well, its healthier,
and more forgiving on my waistline...
The soup's a nice prelude to our dinner!
Feng and I switched plate, for like, 3 times?
We couldnt decide which soup to have..
Seafood Linguini with the freshest catch from the ocean!!!
Slurp slurp...
Seared Salmon with Miso..
We are so miso-crazy lately!
Miso-pasta, miso soup, miso salmon...
The salmon's soooo tender and juicy.....
At say cheezecake,
expect quality but NOT quantity!!
But i guess the former's more important to us!
Alright,
my dearie hubbie feels I love everything oreo-ish..
And thus, an oreo cheesecake!
Amidst the rocky-road ones, baileys flavoured ones and marbled-swirled cheesecakes...
Nonetheless, I still love the oreo-d cake that you chose!
Their tea cups looks like those served at TCC!!
Attempted to look for a brand or what from the cup and saucer...
Was hoping to see the word "IKEA" or something,
so Feng can go get some for us from nearby ikea,
but, no sign of anything.......=(
I'll have to keep a lookout myself then.
Though the meal seemed pretty light,
I swear I'm bursting outa my skirt after the meal!!
To the extent I walk around thinking that I'll puke anytime!
Erm...
Can I take back my words bout them serving in small quantities?
Coz the food's miraculously filling!
Like they expand in your stomach or what!
I'd rather throw this remark back at miserable Hip Diners instead!

We used to love Billy Bombers.
But it has become a thing of the past.
The quality of their food just don't cut it anymore.
One day, we chanced upon Hip Diners.
By Billy Bombers.
We decided to give it a try,
hoping it'll live up to its (former) name.
Feng ordered the mixed grill.
The serving is seriously pathetic.
We are aware that Hip Diners serves much smaller serving than
Billy Bombers.
But the serving is sooooo small, its damn ridiculous.
This pic is real deceiving.

I had the grilled chicken burger.
Look at the rubbery egg.

I'm sure its pre-cooked.

If not, lets just say I can cook BETTER sunny-side up than this!

The miserable grilled chicken is hard, dry and equally rubbery!

And it came with 1 thin slice of lettuce.

And 2 more lettuce that's the size of tea leaves.

The mixed grill consists of 1 dry sausage,
1 dry grilled chicken (that taste exactly like that piece in the sandwich,
half the size of my palm), 1 thin slice of fish,
1 rubbery egg and mashed potatos.
And it costs $20+.
This is utter rubbish.
We are certain we are never going back again.
Even if this is just a one-off thing, it should never have happened.
I'll fail the Quality and Quantity of the food straight away.
Put it this way:
They are doing injustice to the poor animals slaughtered
for the mixed grill.
And of course we complained.

Time for something sweet!

We had some drinks and a grand mercier cake at TCC.

And got our 2nd TCC card that very same day!

And I still thought we seldom visit TCC.At the very least,

their Kenya AA never fail to satisfy his coffee cravings,

and the pretty tea set makes drinking tea merry!
