It's my darling Feng's Birthday!
Without a doubt, his super-girl, mi,
will plan a nice little celebration for him!

I dropped hints that I'm gona celebrate it for him at
Downtown East Chalet..
And pester him to go buy a pair of swimming trunks,
so we can go swimming at the crowded pool..

The day came....
And I brought him to Vivo...
He was puzzled..
Very puzzled indeed....
Till i handed 2 Sentosa Express Tickets over to him...
He broke into a grin,
and suddenly,
his birthday celebration seemed clearer to him....
1st stop: Sentosa Station..While waiting for Sentosa Express to arrive....
Don't mistook it for the MRT platform!!!
In a while, a bright green "monorail" arrived....
We boarded it, feeling excited...
both the birthday boy, and me,
his super-tour guide of the day...
In the "monorail",
leaving vivo for Waterfront Station..
In the "monorail",
I asked him if he knows how to pitch a tent..
and hinted that we'll be sleeping in a tent by the beach...
I can't wait to tell him what I've planned for him!!!
The monorail ride is pretty short..
Before long,
we reached the Beach Station!
Everyone got down...
I wondered if he really believes that we'll be pitching a tent by the beach...
We got onto an air-con bus that took us to our next destination...
It's a good thing we didn't take the warm and crowded beach tram...
I asked him to look out for the
"Cafe Del-Mar stop"...
Before we even reach the stop,
I saw that familiar building...
With tinted brown glass...
I hurried him to get down the bus,
and when we walked past the building,
I held his hand and pulled him in...
The sign outside the building read---
"SILOSO BEACH RESORT"
After we checked in,
I can't wait to show Feng the room that I've reserved...
Our room is on the 8th floor..
We went in,
and it was cosier and nicer than i thought!!!
I brought Feng around the room..
our bed for the night...
The TV that we're gonna watch
Formula 1 in the evening...
It's Japan Grand Prix somemore...
one of the must-see track!!!
And he saw this private staircase leading upstairs....
He must be surprised!!!!
Where will the carpeted staircase lead to..?
I urged him up the stairs,
running behind him!
I can't wait to show him his surprise!
We went up together,
and,
before him is our private Jacuzzi!
Overlooking the sea view..
It was pure bliss at that moment,
knowing that we're gonna spend one whole day in the nice room!!
There's an extra door at the 9th floor,
we went out, and it was like another haven..
Its leading out to a place overlooking the hotel swimming pool,
and the man-made waterfall...
It looks like a pent house to me!
Back to the room,
Feng can't wait to sit at the soft and fluffy cushion arm chair
with a leg rest...
He loved this chair...
I knew it...
The carpeted stairs is comfortable to sit on too...
After hanging around in the room for a while,
we decided to go grab some lunch..
We walked over to the beach station,
and another bright green "monorail" arrived...
We headed back to Vivo,
since there's nothing much to eat within
Sentosa Island...
I'm so excited I can't seemed to eat anything...
I wana get back to Sentosa asap!!!
To dip in the Jacuzzi!!
I had a salmon don with lotsa roe...
Just that kind of lunch I like...
Pork cutlet don for my birthday boy...
I love the taste of eggs plus onions...
what a comforting combination...
I told him its "Don-Don" day...
We need to have a quick lunch!!!
There's still some shopping to do at Giant,
plus we have to rush back before the start of the Japanese
Grand-Prix!!!
How we hoped Ferrari will win...
Seeing the scarlett Ferrari raced past the chequered flag....
And then there's some Ebi Tempura..
We had a real fast lunch,
and went to Giant for some drinks,
Ruffles, cup noodles..etc..
And took a cab back...
to the doorstep of our hotel...
The timing is just right!
We saw the beginning of the race..
An eventful race due to the heavy rain, the safety car...
the reckless driving.....
After the show.........
It's time for the Jacuzzi!!!
Changed to my bikini,
and him, the trunks....
The water is nice and warm......
With a press of the button,
the powerful jet started...
sending swirls of water around us...
The Jacuzzi is much bigger than I thought,
almost like a mini swimming pool!
The sea view is fantastic...
We gazed far away,
and saw big tankers, ships, and speed boats..
We hear the waves and the horn of the ships....
we had a nice time in it!!
And also a nice time talking,
sitting side by side,
overlooking the blue sea as the sun sets...
Suddenly,
we saw fireworks in the night sky!!
I didnt manage to capture the bright fireworks,
though they were so obvious from where we were...
We didnt expect the fireworks...
its like a bonus...
It's actually from the "songs of the sea" performance..
We decided to go walk around abit..
and see if we could buy back some snacks to eat...
This clip has a
"resort" feel to it...
I wouldnt have worn it if we werent at Sentosa!!!
We walked by all the beach bars,
where the staffs are packing up..
We ended up at Coffee Bean..
after taking a stroll along the beach..
Ive got to have my tea!!!
Then we arrived at this "architecture"
with changing lights...
and a chime that gave off a melodious sound...
It reminds me of those ice palace...
We coulnt resist taking some pictures...
Couldnt get the smile off our faces...
Kept "bullying"him along the way...
We felt abit like tourists actually...
Coz we seldom visit Sentosa...
As it was already nearing midnight,
this is the most colourful thing we can see...
At Oscar's..
The fish is peering at Feng
in a perculiar manner....
As cliche as it seems,
I "wrote" Feng a message on the sand...
Felt like a little girl..
As he stood by,
looking at me "write"
the message...
My "heart" on the sand..
Walking barefooted on the sand,
with my heels in my hand...
It's time to slowly walked back to the resort...
Siloso Beach in the night is
so serene, quiet, tranquil...
a huge contrast to the noisy beach in the day!
The beautiful resort in the night..
He was taking a bath while I went upstairs to the Jacuzzi...
and light tealights around the "pool",
with little pink petals by it...
On the table next to the "pool"..
His birthday cake, drinks, prezzie...
The cake is "Coeur Noir"..
Layers of dark chocolate mousse and sacher sponge,
with brandy cherries
and hazelnut dacquoise at the base..
With the words
"Happy Birthday Laogong Feng"!!
A heart shaped cake that is...
I wish his birthday to be filled with luv.....
The whole area is illuminated by the candles,
tealights, and a small little orange lamp on the wall..
I allowed him upstairs after the table has been laid out..
Of coz I'll have to sing him a birthday song...
in 2 languages!!!
Make him make a wish,
blow out the candles,
cut the cake,
open the prezzie...
A thing that I strive to do for him every year on his birthday...
We had a fun time upstairs..
eating straight from the cake..
enjoying the breeze and the view..
The cake tastes like heaven!!!
His prezzie,
wrapped up by mi...
After the mini celebration,
we went straight into the Jacuzzi again...
The water is cold!!!
We enjoyed staring at the stars in the night sky,
and the magnificient view of the lights of the ships by the sea...
The view...
He always prepare a huge towel to wrap me in it when I emerged
from the pool after him!
Grrr.......
I was freezing when the breeze blew..
We didnt really sleep the whole night...
till we went down for breakfast in the morning...
The usual buffet breakfast provided by all the hotels we stayed in...
We also had fried bee hoon, dim sum, dumplings...
My yoghurt..
What could be healthier than juice for breakfast?
But i couldnt resist my cuppa tea!
And the coffee king has got to have his cup of morning coffee..
A stroll by the beach again after a heavy breakfast...
I can gaze at the sea forever....
The scenic view..
A night without much sleep...
but still feeling as happy as ever...
Even the birds looked different in the island!
Brown and fat ones who wouldnt even fly when i chased after them...
"We are here"..
Walking around the resort..
The view from our corridoor...
Everywhere in the resort looks so nice...
Back in our room...
another round of Jacuzzi!!!
While looking up at the trees,
we saw many animals,
from squirrals to parrots....
We had a late check out time before two..
so we still have time to spare...
Both of us can't bear to get out of the pool!
The view from the Jacuzzi in the morning...
It's a real nice resort,
and we like it so much, we'll go back there real real soon!!!
The room is worth every cent we paid...
This is the surprise birthday I'd planned for Feng...
The song
"A promise I make to you" by
Dakota Moon kept ringing in my head the whole trip...
He must have gotten sick of me singing it!

As someone who values birthdays,
I wana make sure my Feng spends his birthday happily every year...
It MUST be with a cake at least,
and someone to sing a birthsay song to him...

I really enjoy this short get-away with him!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAOGONG FENG!
