People have been asking me if I wore black
during chinese new year..
Well..yes..
But I still celebrate it ok..
in my own way..
Feng would help me with my spring cleaning,
accompany me to chinatown to buy goodies,
and we'll have reunion lunch together too!
This year, we'll end the chinese new year with a dinner at
Crystal Jade..

We ordered Salmon Yu-Sheng!
one of my favourite dishes of CNY!

The server poured in all the condiments,
while saying auspicious words like
"bu bu gao sheng","nian nian you yu"...
good thing she never say "zhao sheng gui zi"..

The yu-sheng is fantastic!
The crunchy biscuits, salmon, sesame,
thinly-sliced radishes,carrots etc..
plus the sweet and sour plum sauce!
mmm...

Chicken marinated with wine!
It's a kinda cold dish i think..
The wine flavour is so strong i thought i might get drrunk...

Next up..
Pork with black pepper..
The pork are thickly sliced,
and you can taste the nice fragrant flavour of the fat..

It's supposed to go with these chinese "pancakes",
sort of like how you would eat "Peking duck",
where you have to wrap the fillings in the pancakes..

Fried rice with prawn, chicken and ham!
Every grain of rice is coated with egg..
the best thing is,
it doesnt come with those frozen peas, corns or carrots..

The dishes filled up our table!
We gotta leave our chinese tea and sauces by the ledge..

Deep fried scallion pastry!
Very fragrant and light!

It's time to enjoy our CNY-end feast!

I told Feng that by eating a sumptious meal on the 15th day of the CNY
celebrations, it signifies that we'll have nice food to eat from
the start to the end of the new year!

Thus we ordered and ordered till we can't finish the food..
So we'll have to pack them back to eat!

We are in time to catch the fireworks too!

Though I'm not a fan of fireworks,
I found myself snapping away and saying "wow" with the crowd..

This is Feng's favourite!
He says it looked special!
Like a spaceship..

And thus, a sweet and ultra-full ending to our CNY this year!
