We went to the 5 star Hainanese Chicken Rice at River Valley. Apparantly, its facing strong competition from BTK(Boon Tong Kee), just a few doors down.. But, its doing relatively well..Maybe its due to the Kampong Chicken? The chicken is soft, and, please do slurp up those skin,
with the gravy and all..
with the gravy and all..
Actually its kinda weird eating other dishes with the chicken rice,
since its suppose to be the star of our dinner

Thai style chicken claw!
The sweet and sour sauce is very refreshing indeed!
The chicken claws are crunchy too..
goes perfectly well with the onions!

Tastes more like those from zi-char stalls than a chicken rice stall.
Well, i guess why this stall has an edge over BTK is due to its huge variety in their menu, the price to quality ratio and their kampong chicken.. Perharps if BTK were to serve us a slightly bigger serving, or lower their price a little, it'll be a great alternative? Their free ferarro rochers did not make me feel better... In the meantime, I'll stick with the Tian Tian Hainan chicken rice stall at Maxwell or the one at Novena which Fengs ' mum (The MIL!) introduces..
